Cleveland Heights City Council meeting highlights 7-2-2024

JULY 2, 2024 special meeting.

Present were Mayor Kahlil Seren, Craig Cobb, Gail Larson, Anthony Mattox, Jr., Jim Petras, and Jim Posch. Tony Cuda (council president) and Davida Russell (vice president) were excused. Also present were Clerk of Council Addie Balester and Law Director William Hanna, The meeting ran for nine minutes.

Council action

There was a first reading (no vote) of the mayor’s appointment of Tinita Tillman as the director of finance, commencing August 5, 2024. The mayor will forward a packet and resume regarding the nominee and council will hold a public confirmation hearing later this month.

Council ratified the purchase of three vehicles from Classic Ford Mercury of Chardon for the parks and recreation department, including two 2023 Ford Explorer F-250 pickup trucks with plows and hitch spreaders and one 2023 Ford Explorer Timberline, total cost $182,818.

The next regular meeting will be Aug. 5.
