Singing Winter into Spring: bird songs as the snow thaws

Join us for a cozy winter evening honing your listening skills with an expert in the music of nature: Dr. Lisa Rainsong
By March, resident birds are already claiming territories and advertising for mates. Lisa will share her field recordings and photos of our avian singers while explaining how to listen and learn their songs.
We will briefly discuss human hearing, the importance of soundscape quality, and emerging concerns with noise impacts to birds and other living creatures.
