WJCU Presents: Turn Back The Clock with DJ Z13 & Mayor Michael Dylan Brennan

Starting at 6 PM on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, WJCU 88.7 FM returns to the unoccupied WUJC Clock Tower studio for the first time in over 14,000 days. This 6-hour broadcast will include special guests, throwback music, and more. This student-led special one-of-a-kind event is titled WJCU Presents: Turn Back The Clock.

John Carroll University's previously abandoned clock tower radio station will see life once again from 6 PM until Midnight on March 28th, 2023. University Heights will see the return of over 100 WJCU/WUJC alumni on-air personalities who have RSVP'd to help out with this broadcast in some way shape or form. Mayor Michael Dylan Brennan of University Heights, Ohio, will also take part in contributing to the on-air broadcast. WJCU 88.7 FM will stream the entirety of the broadcast live for everyone in the greater Cleveland area to hear.

Known best for breaking the Guinness World Record for the World's Longest Radio Interview last year, Zachary 'DJ Z13' Sinutko and friends are back and more excited than ever. Zach had this to say about the upcoming 'Turn Back The Clock' event: "There's nothing better than reminiscing on old times, and what better way to do it than to return to our roots? We are super excited about this event, it's truly something special you will have to hear to believe. Tune in next week!" - Zachary Sinutko, Junior at John Carroll University & WJCU On-Air Personality. Zachary 'DJ Z13' Sinutko is a micro-influencer originally from metro Detroit Michigan and the lead host and executive producer of 808s & Mixtapes. Sinutko continued with: "It's crazy to think that the last broadcast was in 1984. My parents were in 1st grade when the last broadcast went over the air. That's crazy to imagine. I am truly honored that we get to be the on-air personalities for this monumental broadcast".

Starting with 1960s music at 6 PM and going up one decade every hour, WJCU will reach all fans of music. Hosts for this event include Zachary 'DJ Z13' Sinutko, Emily Davala, Collin Kennedy, and Daunte Horton of 808s & Mixtapes alongside Joe and Lauren Gumney of Old Rock vs New Rock. 808s & Mixtapes is known for interviewing up-and-coming hip-hop artists. Recent interviewees of 808s & Mixtapes include but are not limited to the likes of Trippie Redd, Waka Flocka Flame, DDG, The Temptations, and more. Old Rock vs. New Rock is the father-daughter rock radio show that airs before 808s & Mixtapes on Tuesday nights. From rock to rap almost every genre of music will be represented on this broadcast. Emily alongside Collin Kennedy and Zachary Sinutko are 2-time BEA (Broadcast Education Association) & 1-time CBI (College Broadcasters Incorporated) winning college radio DJs. Emily Davala, Zachary 'DJ Z13' Sinutko, and Collin Kennedy make up half of the 808s & Mixtapes team leading this broadcast.
