CH Democrats to endorse candidates in public meeting on Sept. 12

The Democratic Club of Cleveland Heights will hold its 2013 Candidate Endorsement Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m., in the Cleveland Heights Community Center. The meeting is free and open to the public; only club members in good standing are eligible to participate in the endorsement vote.

At the meeting, participating candidates for Cleveland Heights City Council and for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Board of Education will address the audience, to seek the endorsement of assembled club members for the upcoming November election.

All candidates are required to fill out a club endorsement questionnaire. Printed copies of candidates' responses will not be available at the meeting, but are posted on the club's website, http://clevelandheightsdems.com. Those interested can view the responses there, and voting club members are advised to review the responses online prior to attending and voting at the meeting.

The endorsement meeting is always a well-attended event. The 2011 city council and school board endorsement meeting attracted more than 100 voting club members. Eligible club voters are advised to arrive early for check-in at the Community Center, at 1 Monticello Blvd. in Cleveland Heights.
