University Heights seeks nominations for 2013 Beautiful Home awards

University Heights City Beautiful Commission members are currently traveling the city's streets, looking for homes and gardens to nominate for UH's 2013 Beautiful Home awards.

Residents can nominate homes in their neighborhoods—or nominate their own homes—by contacting Sherri Wisnieski (swisnieski@universityheights.com or 216-932-7800, ext. 203) at University Heights City Hall.

In her July newsletter, UH Mayor Susan Infeld noted that a backyard garden transformation by resident Corky Thacker, a 2010 Beautiful Home award winner, is featured in the July issue of This Old House magazine.

The deadline for nominations is July 24. The award ceremony will take place in the fall.
