Coventry Village tour launches Heights Historical mobile phone app

Mark Souther, associate professor of history at Cleveland State University and member of the Cleveland Heights Landmark Commission, leads an app-enhanced walking tour of Coventry Village on May 19, using Cleveland Historical, a mobile phone app developed by CSU’s Digital Humanities Department. The tour is the first of four neighborhood tours to be developed for the app by FutureHeights, CSU, the Cleveland Heights Historical Society, and the City of Cleveland Heights Landmark Commission, and is generously funded by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, and with support from the City of Cleveland Heights, Cleveland Heights Mayor Ed Kelley, the Coventry Village SID, the Cedar Fairmount SID, Nighttown Restaurant, CH Council Member Dennis Wilcox and others. Download the free app at the iPhone App Store, Android Market or http://clevelandhistorical.org.
