Friends of the Heights Libraries Book Sale May 18–21
The Friends of the Heights Libraries Gigantic Spring book sale is back. This sale, at the Lee Road branch, offers thousands of gently used books, DVDs, CDs—even vinyl—at unbeatable prices.
Most hardcover books, large paperbacks, and CDs will sell for a dollar; children’s books and small paperbacks are 50 cents; and DVDs are two dollars. The proceeds benefit Friends of the Heights Libraries, a service organization that supports library programs and advocates on behalf of the library.
The sale started on Thursday, May 17, with a special preview sale for Friends members only. The sale opens to the general public on Friday and Saturday during regular library hours (9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday). At the clearance sale on Sunday (1–4:30 p.m.)and Monday (9:30 a.m. to noon), a bag of books will cost just three dollars.
