Cedar-Coventry Local Author Series: Derf. Illustrator and cartoonist Derf (Derf Backderf) will talk about his new book, My Friend Dahmer. Derf went to high school with the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, and has written a graphic novel about the experience. (Registration required.)

Saturday, April 7, 1 p.m.

Wii Bowling Tournament. The library is hosting an afternoon-long showdown for bowlers of all ages. Players will have the opportunity to outscore their opponents at this very special approach to bowling competition. First, second and third-place winners will receive prizes. (Registration required.)

Kaleidoscope Afterschool Read Aloud.Kids can sit back after school and hear athrilling tale, moving poetry, puzzling mysteries, winsome folktales and exotic adventure, all chosen and read aloud by professional librarians. Snacks are available, or feel free to bring your own.

Saturday, April 28, 2 p.m.

5th Annual Lee Road Library Crossword Competition. Spend an afternoon solving crossword puzzles with friends and neighbors, and try your hand at unpublished crosswords provided by Will Shortz, crossword editor of The New York Times. The puzzles will begin easy and become progressively more difficult. All levels of skill are encouraged to participate. (Registration required.)

Tuesday, April 10, 7 p.m.

The Making of Titanic: A Personal Voyage. Come aboard with former Cleveland Heights resident Preston Hrisko as he presents a remembrance on the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Hrisko, a resident of Budapest, Hungary, has a role in "Titanic,", a miniseries that will air on ABC-TV April 12–15. Hrisko will share his film and production experiences, and bring you behind the scenes as his real-life character and family meet their fates aboard the historic ship. (Registration required.)

Tuesday, April 24, 7 p.m.

Pajamas in the PLAYroom. Evening storytime returns. Come for books, music, rhymes, puppets and toys. This storytime will focus on the learning stations in the PLAYroom. For ages 3-6.
