Montessori School at Holy Rosary offers parent-child classes

Montessori School at Holy Rosary offers parent-child classes for children ages 2 to 36 months, giving insight and guidance according to the Montessori philosophy. The classes will be held through March 27 on Tuesdays 1:45–3:15 p.m., at the school, 12009 Mayfield Road, in Little Italy.

Parents and children are invited to learn more about important developmental phases, milestones, and learning tools for this age group. Parents can share stories and gain knowledge from each other, while their children explore and learn, in an environment set up specifically for them.

Topics addressed during the classes include basics of Montessori, importance of language, importance of movement, sleep, weaning to solids, aiding independence, and music.

The class is guided by Terri Stahl, who is AMI Assistants to Infancy certified, and holds a M.Ed. and M.A. in counseling. She has had many years of childcare and development experience. Each session includes time for parent education, and time for the parent to explore with his or her child under Stahl’s guidance.

The class size is limited, and the fee is $175 for the session. For more information, contact the school office at 216-421-0700, or visit www.montessori-hr.org.
