Heights Libraries receives award for financial reporting
The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).
Heights Libraries earned the award for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The certificate is the highest form of recognition for governmental accounting and financial reporting, representing a significant accomplishment.
“Our finance manager, Molly Riffle, really deserves all the credit for the award,” said Nancy Levin, director of Heights Libraries. “She essentially prepares the CAFR single-handedly.”
According to the GFOA, the library’s CAFR “has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive ‘spirit of full disclosure’ to clearly communicate its financial story.”
The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 17,500 government finance professionals.
