Courtney Presswood receives award for outstanding service

Courtney Presswood received OALA's Outstanding Housekeeper award for 2011.

The A. M. McGregor Home, an assisted living community, announced that Courtney Presswood has received the Outstanding Housekeeper Award for 2011 from the Ohio Assisted Living Association (OALA). Presswood has been an employee of the facility for nine years.

The nomination of Courtney Presswood included many of the reasons for his selection. Presswood was described as someone who takes his job very seriously, always with a smile on his face, and always willing to help a resident in need.

Representing 352 Ohio communities, OALA is a strong voice on all issues affecting assisted living. OALA’s mission is to promote the continued growth of quality assisted living in Ohio, and to ensure its place as an integral part of the long-term care continuum.

The purpose of the OALA awards is to publicly commend the work and effort of individuals in the assisted living industry who provide outstanding service and support to residents and their families. Nominations came from colleagues and residents in assisted-living communities. A committee of OALA trustees made the final selections.
