Senior lecture series at UH Library
A speaker series for seniors continues on Thursdays at the University Heights Library. The following topics have been announced for fall. All talks begin at 2 p.m.
October 6 Matthew Fieldman, Northeast Ohio development director for MedWish International, on rescuing surplus medical supplies to promote better health and save lives in the Third World.
October 13 Belle Likover, the voice of Senior Voice and a distinguished advocate for senior citizens, outlines impactful issues on the upcoming November ballot.
October 20 The Rev. Marvin McMickle, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church and a champion for community concerns, reflects on his Cleveland experience and assuming new responsibilities.
October 27 Rosario Cambria, Ph.D., of Cuyahoga Community College, provides a scholar's take on the magic of Frank Sinatra's music and the origin of an American legend.
