CH-UH Public Library names new marketing manager

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library has named Sheryl Banks to be its marketing and community relations manager effective March 21.

Banks is a native Northeast Ohioan, and has lived in Cleveland Heights since 2004. She graduated from Kent State University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in English and a solid background in liberal arts. Since then, she has worked steadily in publishing, communications, marketing, website development, and event management, most recently for the national arts organization the Society for Photographic Education.

Banks is passionate about nonprofit and public sector organizations, having spent 14 of her 20 years of work experience in the nonprofit sector, and she is thrilled to be bringing that passion to the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library, which is one of her favorite places in the city.

In her spare time, Banks can be found reading, running, volunteering, and spending time with her husband, Joe, and son, David, who are also big fans of the CH-UH Library.

Banks replaces Dean Schnurr.

Nancy Levin is the director of th Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library.
