Leader in older adult services joins Jewish Family Service Association staff

Jewish Family Service Association announces the appointment of Eileen L Yates M.P.A. as director of older adults services in JFSA Care At Home, the agency’s home health care division. Yates brings more than 15 years experience working in the field of aging and has worked in a variety of settings including education, applied research and long term care. In her role, she will oversee the agency’s Holocaust Survivor Support Services, Lifeline personal emergency response unit, Home Delivered Meals program and Friends Indeed, a home management assistance program.

“I’m looking forward to working with JFSA staff because the support that we provide fills a strong and growing need for older adults to remain independent in their homes. Community-based care is the direction that health care is moving and JFSA is a leader,” Yates says.

Prior to JFSA, Yates was director of the Center for Aging Initiatives at Cuyahoga Community College. She serves on several boards, including the Cleveland Area Alzheimer’s Association and the Ohio Association of Gerontology and Education.

Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland, a private nonprofit organization, serves to strengthen families and individuals in Northeast Ohio. Guided by traditional Jewish values of communal responsibility and social justice, JFSA is committed to enhancing every individual’s ability to thrive in our community.
