Learn about Powers of Attorney and Living Wills

Homewood Residence at Rockefeller Gardens will offer a seminar on March 24 at 1:30 p.m. about advance directives and powers of attorney. Open to the public, attendees will learn about Durable Power of Attorney and Living Will/Health Care Proxy documents. 

The speaker will be experienced elder law and estate planning attorney, Nathan Wills from The Wills Law Firm, LLC.  His topics opics will include:

Durable Powers of Attorney - These documents allow one to appoint an agent to make financial decisions on his or her behalf during the lifetime in the event he or she becomes unable to communicate. It often avoids the necessity of costly and protracted guardianship proceedings. 

Living Will/Health Care Proxy - A Living Will allows one to document his or her wishes concerning treatment in the event he or she becomes terminally ill. A Health Care Proxy allows one to designate an agent to make healthcare decisions in the event he or she is unable to do so.
