DAYTIME COFFEE TALK: In The Gallery On Art And The Power Of Memory
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Join us in the gallery with Sue Koletsky, Director of Temple Museums, for an in-depth discussion on how art preserves memory. Examining the quilt, Six Million, by Judith Weinshall Liberman, a prolific artist who explored ancient Jewish history and commemorated the Holocaust through hand-crafted pieces, this is a look at the courage required to remember a global tragedy through artistic craft. Workshop: Ceiling Installation
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Focusing especially on adhesive ceiling panels and drop ceilings, you'll learn about what different types of each are available and what might work best for you. Learn the intricacies of hanging a new ceiling and the tools and supplies you'll need, like a water level. And you'll even learn a little about adjusting electrical fixtures too. Then you can try your own hands at hanging a ceiling in our workshop. If you've been thinking about repairing or modernizing your ceiling this workshop will be a big help.
