Medical Politics: The Death of President James A. Garfield--Lecture

Brandy Schillace, Ph.D., Editor-in-Chief Medical Humanities, will examine the unnecessary death of President Garfield and the controversy that surrounded the doctors who cared for him. Following the discussion at Daffodil Hall, guests will have the opportunity to visit the Garfield Memorial. Raphaël Feuillâtre in Concert

The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society presents Raphaël Feuillâtre in Concert on October 5, 2019 at 7:30 PM at Plymouth Church UCC of Shaker Heights (2860 Coventry Road, Shaker Heights, OH 44120). Feuillâtre will be performing works by Assad, Brouwer, Llobet, Mangoré, Rachmaninoff, Rameau, Scriabin, and Villa-Lobos.

Raphaël Feuillâtre is a young Paris-based virtuoso of the classical guitar. In 2018, at the age of 22, he won first place in the Guitar Foundation of American 2018 competition, one of the world’s most prestigious guitar competitions. This performance marks his Cleveland debut!

Raphaël Feuillâtre in Concert is the first concert on Cleveland Classical Guitar Society's 2019-2020 International Series. This series, now in its eleventh season, presents performances by the finest classical guitarists to Northeast Ohio audiences. Since its founding in 2009, the International Series has presented artists from 18 countries. This season has featured artists from countries including France, Mexico, China, Paraguay, and Scotland.
