Active Yoga ~'~ Loving Hands Yoga
6:15 PM - 7:15 PM
Active Yoga – This is a moderate-intensity class, perfect for those with previous yoga experience. In this class we gradually increase our heart rate, flow aerobically through various poses, and work on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. We focus on the yoga principles of alignment, connecting our breath with our movement, and practicing present-moment awareness. The level of challenge is designed around the students’ desires and abilities.

Class Fees
$15 per class / New clients: Your first class is free!
Students pay at the beginning of the session for all but 3 classes in the session, and pay as they go for the remaining classes in the session. This allows for up to 3 missed classes in the session. I am not able to offer make-up classes.

Public Policy Forum - Ohio's School Report Cards
7:00 PM
The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District has been at the forefront in advocating on behalf of public education in the state of Ohio.

On Aug. 29, the District will continue that trend by hosting a public policy forum at Heights High School, in conjunction with The Plain Dealer and the League of Women Voters, to discuss Ohio’s School Report Cards.

The forum, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 7:00 p.m. in the mini auditorium at Heights High School (13263 Cedar Road, Cleveland Heights).

The topic of the forum is "Ohio's school report cards: What do they really tell us? What should they?: A discussion about how we evaluate our schools".

CH-UH Superintendent Dr. Talisa Dixon, a frequent public education advocate both in the state and nationally, will serve as a panelist. She joins Chad Aldis, Vice President for Ohio Policy and Advocacy at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute; Steven Dyer, Education Policy Fellow at Innovation Ohio; and Lisa Woods, Ohio Board of Education member, on the panel.

The forum will be moderated by The Plain Dealer education reporter Patrick O’Donnell.

The forum is co-sponsored by the CH-UH PTA Council, The Plain Dealer/Cleveland.com, CWRU Lifelong Learning, and League of Women Voters-Greater Cleveland. First Interstate, Ltd. is the event’s corporate sponsor.
