Documentary Screening of Freeway City
1:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Join us for progressive three act screening, to be shown at three locations in Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights, “Freeway City” from Cleveland Heights director Brad Masi. This film allows viewers to learn more about the historic defeat of several highways that would have destroyed the Shaker Parklands and the neighborhoods that surround it.
The first act will be shown at the Shaker Historical Society. The second at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes, and the final act at Loganberry Bookstore. We encourage viewers to hike with us from location to location to view the areas that would have been destroyed. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at shakerlakes.org/fall-programs.
