The 17th Annual Gallop for Children
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
The Gallop for Children is a 5k run/walk and 1/2 Mile Kids' Fun Run at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Complementary Zoo admission for the day with registration. Discounted Zoo admission for spectators. Proceeds benefit Child and Family Advocates of Cuyahoga County to support its advocacy programs and abused, neglected, and needy children in Cuyahoga County. The Superheroes to Kids in Ohio are coming to cheer on all of the children running in the 1/2 Mile Kids' Fun Run.

Dobama Theatre presents the regional premiere of MARJORIE PRIME by Jordan Harrison, directed by Shannon Sindelar

2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama- Finalist

"In the not-too-distant future it’s the age of artificial intelligence, and 85-year-old Marjorie has a handsome new companion programmed to recount the distant, fading memories of her life. This incredible new play and Pulitzer Prize finalist explores what it means to be human in the digital age."

MARJORIE PRIME features Dorothy Silver, Derdriu Ring*, Steve Sawicki, and Nicholas Chokan+.

The play runs 90 minutes with no intermission.

Close Encounters: Felix, Wolfi and Zoltán

Heights Arts Close Encounters Season 12 opens Sunday, November 12 with the program "Felix, Wolfi and Zoltán" in a restored Herrick Mews carriage house. Masterpieces by two German Wunderkinder, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Felix Mendelssohn, frame a spicy Hungarian trio, played con brio by Jessica Lee, recently appointed Assistant Concertmaster of The Cleveland Orchestra and the Cavani Quartet's Eric Wong, another international touring artist newly settled in our city. Both will be joined by audience favorites Mari Sato of the Cavani Quartet, plus Cleveland Orchestra musicians Tanya Ell on cello and Isabel Trautwein on violin and viola.
