Eerie Ink: Stories of Suspense

Make Lake Erie Ink your first stop this Halloween weekend, and write a spooky story from inside a historic mansion at this ALL AGES workshop featuring guest writer D.M. Pulley.

This workshop takes place at the Shaker Historical Society and Museum. Parking is facing the garage behind the museum or on the north side of the street (park side) facing Lee.

Weekend Ink is a series of creative expression workshops for all ages where youth explore fun genres with guest artists and writers. Weekend Ink is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.

Cost is $5, scholarships available

Chapter Q of P.E.O. International 6th Annual "Afternoon with An Author" Presents Cleveland Author, Annie Hogsett

Join the ladies of Chapter Q of P.E.O. International on Saturday, October 28 from 2 to 4pm at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church for their 6th Annual fundraiser "Afternoon with An Author" event. Local author, Annie Hogsett, will read excerpts from her first published book, "Too Lucky to Live." Books will also be available for purchase and signing. A dessert reception will immediately follow. Tickets are $15.00 person.

Teen Open Mic - "Nightmares"
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Speak your mind at this open mic for teens in grades 6-12. Bring poems, stories, or songs to share, or write one while you’re here. Doors open at 6:30pm; reading begins at 7pm. All are invited to listen, and no registration is required.

This month’s theme is “nightmares.” Themes are optional. Come to perform, write, watch, or eat! Pizza will be provided.

Dobama Theatre presents the regional premiere of MARJORIE PRIME by Jordan Harrison, directed by Shannon Sindelar

2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama- Finalist

"In the not-too-distant future it’s the age of artificial intelligence, and 85-year-old Marjorie has a handsome new companion programmed to recount the distant, fading memories of her life. This incredible new play and Pulitzer Prize finalist explores what it means to be human in the digital age."

MARJORIE PRIME features Dorothy Silver, Derdriu Ring*, Steve Sawicki, and Nicholas Chokan+.

The play runs 90 minutes with no intermission.
