Trepanning Trio community concert

In conjunction with the Heights Arts exhibition "Sound and Vision," acoustic instrumental ensemble Trepanning Trio and exhibition curator Christopher Auerbach-Brown present a free community concert using their signature “classical, traditional and handmade instruments (i.e., viola da gamba, kalimba, guzheng, pan lids screwed onto sticks and played with violin bows, etc).” Seating is open, so please come a bit early and enjoy the show!

Celil Refik Kaya will perform for Cleveland Classical Guitar Society on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Since his concert debut at the age of 6, Turkish guitarist/composer Celil Refik Kaya has stunned audiences worldwide with his raw energy and breathtaking musicality. With top competition prizes across Europe and the United States, a recent Carnegie Hall debut, and almost 100 compositions, Celil has positioned himself as one of the most exciting young talents of the classical guitar.

Celil appears as a soloist and international artist touring around the United States and Europe and will be making his Cleveland debut at Plymouth Church UCC. As a concert soloist, he has collaborated with professional orchestras such as the Buffalo Philharmonic, Virginia Symphony, Istanbul State Symphony, etc. which Celil has gained his great artistic recognition internationally. "In the not-too-distant future it’s the age of artificial intelligence, and 85-year-old Marjorie has a handsome new companion programmed to recount the distant, fading memories of her life. This incredible new play and Pulitzer Prize finalist explores what it means to be human in the digital age."

The play runs 90 minutes with no intermission.
