Donation Day in Shaker Heights

Declutter your house and help families in need get furniture. Recycle with purpose. Cleveland Furniture Bank's truck will be accepting donations of gently used items in good clean condition. Items such as small furniture, clothes, household items, lamps, linens. For larger items please call 216-459-2265 x 101 or go online to www.clevelandfurniturebank.org/donate-2/donate-furniture and we will pick up. All donations are tax deductible.

FREE Home Remodeling Fair

Are you looking for home repair advice or home remodeling ideas? Are you tired of being “sold” expensive solutions for problems you might not have? Who’s looking out for you in the world of “Home Improvement”? The Home Repair Resource Center (HRRC) has your back! Join us for a free, fun, informative Home Remodeling Fair, presented by HRRC in cooperation with the City of Cleveland Heights.
An annual event that ushers in the home improvement season, this year’s fair features “Ask an Expert” tables, where professionals from many repair specialties will answer questions and give advice. You read that right: They GIVE advice. No one is here to sell you anything—professionals participate to help educate and inform consumers about their options. In addition, representatives from local banks, community organizations and the City of Cleveland Heights will be available to discuss how they can help you complete projects around your house.
Fair attendees can also attend free home improvement workshops, enter to win prizes, and talk with HRRC staff about programs.
The fair will be held on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cleveland Heights City Hall, 40 Severance Circle. The fair is free and parking is free—but the information you’ll take home is PRICELESS!
