Party in the Parklands: 50th Anniversary Festival
7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Party in the Parklands: A 50th Anniversary Festival celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes. The Nature Center was founded in 1966 as part of a grassroots movement to stop the construction of the Clark Freeway slated to pass through the Shaker Parklands. To honor the Freeway Fighters and celebrate the Shaker Parklands communities, Party in the Parklands offers a fun-filled day of activities for the whole family.

The day starts with the annual Shaker Lakes Hike & Run. Registration opens at 7 am for the hikes and 5K and 10K races.

After your race and hike, stay to party! The Cleveland Water Buggy and food trucks open at 7 am to offer refreshment throughout the day. The Nature Center will rock the Parklands beginning with a DJ at 7 am and continue with live entertainment all afternoon. Enjoy free activities all day, including yoga, tree climbing, archery, bike ride tour, games and crafts. Party in the Parklands is a celebration not to be missed.
