Eastside Kickers Soccer Tryouts

Eastside Kickers, a nonprofit community soccer club, is recruiting new players for the 2016-17 season.
ESK is searching for girls and boys, ages 7-14.
The spring and fall seasons last 6-8 weeks, with one game per week, and one or two practices per week. Away games (3-4 matches per session) are in communities as close as Shaker Heights and as far as Mentor. Tournament play and two winter sessions are offered and encouraged for further player development. Scholarships are available.

Active Yoga ~'~ Loving Hands Yoga

Active Yoga – This is a moderate-intensity class, perfect for those with previous yoga experience. In this class we gradually increase our heart rate, flow aerobically through various poses, and work on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. We focus on the yoga principles of alignment, connecting our breath with our movement, and practicing present-moment awareness. The level of challenge is designed around the students’ desires and abilities.
Class Fees
*** New Clients (includes one free class): $150 for Spring
*** Returning Clients: $165 for Spring
*** All Clients: 10% discount for 2 classes per week

Richey Piiperinan will facilitate the discussion with panelists Dione Alexander, President of Village Capital; Adam Rosen, Economic Development Director of Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization; Michael Fleming, Executive Director of St. Clair Superior Community Development Corporation; and Bob Brown, former Director of the Cleveland Planning Commission.
FutureHeights will share its recent accomplishments, including its community-building programs and initiatives to strengthen our commercial districts, and more.

Gentle Yoga – This class provides all the benefits of yoga, but at a more relaxed pace. It is perfect for beginners, or experienced yogis who prefer a slower practice. We work on our strength, breathing, balance, and flexibility through gentle, fluid poses and stretching. Meditation exercises at the beginning and end of the class help to release stress and worry. We also discuss methods for bringing peace and relaxation into our daily lives. This class provides a peaceful and relaxing way to end the evening!
