“The One and Only”: A World Café on Racial Divide
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Join Heights Community Congress (HCC) for this interactive program which will feature Ruby Bridges as “the one and only”. To focus the discussion we will use a reading from her book “Through My Eyes.”which highlights her experiences with court-mandated school desegregation in New Orleans during the turbulent 1960s. In a world café setting participants will exchange ideas around two questions centered on lessening the racial divide in our community followed by full group facilitated discussion.
