Jewelry demo + artist talk with Catherine Davies Paetz
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
EVENING DROP IN: Come meet our July Artist of the Month, Catherine Davies Paetz, a Northeast Ohio jewelry designer and longtime Heights resident. Cathy’s original designs explore line and surface texture using various materials including silver metal clay, sterling silver wire, and etched, stamped, or formed copper. Earring design is her favorite way to share this passion (and you can enter to win a pair of her earrings this month in our gallery)!

Learn about working with precious metal clay, a moldable material consisting of silver, gold, bronze or copper mixed with an organic binder, that can be shaped by hand or using molds. When fired, the binder burns away, leaving pure metal. Catherine will share the methods she uses to transform designs into metal works on Thursday evening, July 23, between 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
