Voices for Hospice – Free Community Educational Luncheon “Hidden Patients, Hidden Lives”

Featuring radio personality Mark Ribbins (@JazzPreacher) of 107.3-FM, The Wave, as keynote speaker, and The Wave’s Grace Roberts as emcee, this free community educational luncheon commemorates World Hospice and Palliative Care Day. By sharing stories about real families benefiting from hospice care, the event provides church groups, social organizations, families and friends with a better understanding of the different ways hospice supports individuals and their families who are coping with life-limiting illnesses. Sponsored by the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging and E.F. Boyd & Son.

Meet the Author: Betty Ruth Shear, Full Circle: My Success Story Living with Bipolar Disorder

Forty years after her diagnosis with bipolar disease at age 19, Ms. Shear's success in living with mental illness is an inspiration to others facing similar challenges. Ms. Shear will talk about her new biography and the roller-coaster ride of events that led to the rainbow after the storm.
