Original Voices Book Club: Orlando: A Biography by Virginia Woolf
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Written as a homage to Woolf’s lover Vita Sackville-West, Orlando examines the fluidity of gender (and gender roles), social constructs, and biographical “facts," while simultaneously musing on the concept of self-hood. A metaphysical romp through time, and a bestseller when published in 1928, Woolf’s shape-shifting novel has been called a “savage satire on sexism” and “a joyful and passionate declaration of love as life."

Heights Libraries - Lee Road Branch
