Kid Engineering: Paper Airplanes and Helicopters

Kids in grades K-5, ask your favorite adult to be your assistant for a creating paper airplanes and helicopters. Registration begins March 10, 2015.

Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District Board of Education Work Session
7:00 PM
The Design Team working on the Heights High Renovation Project will present the latest high school design drawings.

The Board encourages comments and questions from the community following the presentation.

The meeting also will include renderings of the proposed gateway building and rear portions of the new high school. In addition, the Design Team will update the Board on the overall project budget. The Gateway Building will serve as an entryway into the athletic field and stadium at the high school.

The Myth of the Failing Student Public Forum

The third in a three-part series, sponsored by the Heights Coalition for Public Education, the event designed to build community awareness of the issues and limitations of state and federal education policy that mandate high-stakes testing and the privatization of public education. The policies emphasize teacher accountability as the primary route to education reform.

The Heights Coalition for Public Education is a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers and community members committed to public education. Co-sponsors of the event include the Cleveland Heights Teachers Union, Reaching Heights, FutureHeights and the CH-UH PTA Council.

Homeowners usually want to be secure in their homes, but don’t want security measures to interfere with the aesthetics of their house. We’ll discuss options for improving home security (exterior lighting, security systems, door and window locks, etc.) and what to look for in each.
