Nighttown's 50th Anniversary Party

Nighttown turns 50! The official day is February 5, but we'll be celebrating all month.

We're kicking off the celebration on Thursday, February 5 with the official 50th Anniversary Party, including a concert featuring dozens of musicians who have performed at Nighttown over the years including Joe Hunter, Jackie Warren, Ernie Krivda and many more.

On Friday, February 13, Nighttown continues the celebration with one of our biggest concerts ever: The Manhattan Transfer.

Ekphrastacy: Artists Talk + Poets Respond

Join us for an evening of enlightening conversation about our current exhibition, Light Show. Hear curator Sharon Grossman and artists Claudia Berlinski, Dana Depew, Scott Goss, Nancy Luken, Ben Parsons, and Andrew Simmons share insights on exhibition works, process and vision.

Amy Sparks, Christine Howey, Adina Schoem, Damien Ware and Cleveland Heights Poet Laureate Kathleen Cerveny will read original poems written in response to select works in the exhibition. A reception with refreshments follows the talk. FREE

Shekere Making
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Come learn how to make a traditional West African shekere. Made with a gourd, beads and string create a beautiful decorative instrument. Gourds, string and some beads will be provided but you are encouraged to bring your own beads to best express yourself. Part of our African American History and Culture programs. Limit 10 participants. Registration required.
