Yoga for Lean Bodies *FREE* Loving Hands Yoga
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Yoga for Lean Bodies *FREE* Loving Hands Yoga - Vinyasa (flowing) yoga is a powerful component of a healthy lifestyle that aids in creating a leaner body. We move very actively through poses in this class, keeping an elevated heart rate to help burn calories. The body awareness and present-moment awareness that we learn in yoga also help us to be more conscious of what we put into our bodies, and helps us to be gentle and accepting of ourselves along our lean body journey. This is an active level class, perfect for those with previous yoga experience or those who are already fairly physically fit.

Beth El—The Heights Synagogue publishes new prayer book

Beth El—The Heights Synagogue will use its newly published prayer book, “Siddur Hallel v’Zimrah” (Praise and Song), for the first time on Shabbat morning, November 17, at 9:15.

Following services at around 12:30 there will be a celebratory kiddush and luncheon honoring the creators of the new prayer book. The event is free and open to the community. Beth El—The Heights Synagogue is in Cleveland Heights at the corner of Desota Avenue and Berkeley Road.

The user-friendly prayer book includes clear directions, interlinear translation and commentary written by Rabbi Moshe Adler, the congregation’s spiritual leader. Nili Adler, a professor of Hebrew at Case Western Reserve University, oversaw the grammatical and typographical accuracy of the interlinear Hebrew transliteration. Congregation member Joe Buchwald Gelles did the layout, design and typography, and ritual chairperson Miriam Palevsky oversaw the planning.
