The Spirals of Jewish Time: Celebrating a Year and a Life

Beth El-The Heights Synagogue will present a Scholar in Residence weekend with Rabbis Arthur Waskow and Phyllis Berman beginning Friday, November 30 through Sunday December 2. The weekend will feature discussions on environmental ethics and climate change, the cycles of the Jewish year, and storytelling as a path for social change. Rabbi Waskow is the co-founder and Executive Director of The Shalom Center in Philadelphia, an organization which works to infuse Jewish and multi-faith spirituality into action on broad social fronts such as peace and environmental protection. Rabbi Berman is a Jewish and secular educator who has worked closely with immigrant populations and is renowned as a leading Jewish-renewal liturgist, prayer leader, story-writer, and story-teller.

HRRC Presentation: "Home Energy Efficiency"

Part of Home Repair Resource Center’s workshop series focusing on the needs of seniors. A participation fee of $25 will entitle homeowners age 62+ from Cleveland Heights, University Heights, and South Euclid to attend one workshop and receive a 90-minute in-home consultation with HRRC Senior Repair Specialist Wesley Walker; modest fee for additional workshops. CH-UH Kindergarten & Preschool Open Houses

Kindernet invites you to discover your elementary school in the CH-UH City School District. You’ll have an opportunity to visit kindergarten teachers and their classrooms, meet the principal, tour the building, and learn more about your school. The Gearity and Noble Preschool Programs will also be hosting community open houses for prospective families the same evening from 6:30-8 p.m.
