CL Barber Salon's owner Claire Laffey will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Sept.19,2008 at 4:00 p.m. with Mayor Ed Kelley, city officals, Nighttown's Brendan Ring and many others. All are invited to come and help us celebrate our new beginning. Refreshments will be served.

An exciting coproduction between Dobama and Karamu House

This groundbreaking musical with a cast of 17 actors and 8 musicians revisits the early 1960’s, a period of sweeping change in race relations as it affects two families: a Southern Jewish and an African American family. The Gellman's son, Noah, worships Caroline, their dignified African American domestic, as a surrogate mother figure. Their tentative and touching relationship is at the heart of this powerful story, infused with an exhilarating mix of music: classical, R&B, Motown, Klezmer, and Negro spirituals.
