Join Folk Alley for a Special Concert at Cain Park
Folk Alley is turning 5 years old this September, and to celebrate we're having a special double-bill concert featuring 2 of our favorite performers - from Canada, singer/songwriter/story-teller extraordinaire - David Francey with Craig Werth and the amazing, 'mysticsippian' acoustic bluesman Harry Manx!

Join us at Cain Park's Evans Amphitheater in Cleveland Heights, OH on Friday, August 8th at 8:00pm.
Tickets: $18.00

This concert will be recorded and videotaped for our online concert series - Live from Folk Alley, and we need you there to make some noise for the taping!

David Francey with Craig Werth ~ In concert, David Francey is a singer and a storyteller who can establish, in moments, a personal rapport with his audience. His wry humour and astute observations combined with his openhearted singing style have earned him a loyal following. The Toronto Star says, "Francey has made a reputation for himself as one of Canada's most revered folk poets and singers... [His songs] are small and beautifully crafted pieces of work that have made Francey both a folk festival favourite and something of a latter-day Canadian poet laureate."

Harry Manx ~ Harry Manx has been dubbed an "essential link" between the music of East and West, creating musical short stories that wed the tradition of the Blues with the depth of classical Indian ragas. His unique sound is bewitching and deliciously addictive to listen to. Time Out, New York City says, "Canadian guitarist Harry Manx knows his instrument the way most men know their television remote controls."

FolkAlley.com went online in September 2003, offering live-streaming music over the Internet 24 hours a day. The hosted stream is produced by WKSU-FM in Kent, OH, which also built and maintains the web site.
